Tony’s Tonsillectomy Adventure- Day 3

Hemorrhage After Tonsillectomy
Tonsillectomy Recovery Experience

Day 3 – Twilight zone I have experience little pain. My pain medicines Lidocaine, Percocet and Celecoxib are doing their job in addition to the Medrol and Ranitidine. However, I am having a hard time with swallowing. For the most part, I’ve been eating Jell-O, Yogurt, Applesauce, Ice-cream and Italian ice. However, doing day two I decided to add a little bit of chicken flavor soup. Around 3 am, I woke up to use the restroom and started bleeding heavy from the mouth and lightly throw my noise so I immediately started rinsing my mouth with cool water and place a frozen sausage around my neck because I left the ice pack out and didn’t put cold water back into the frig. When I started to get dress to go to the emergency room, the bleeding slow down and just stop. It felt like I was in a twilight zone movie. I’ve goggle with cold water to help clear the remaining blood and I took Lidocaine to relieve the minor pain and lube my throat. The only thing I eat different was some chicken flavor noodle soup. I wonder if the spices in the soup was the cause of this excessive bleeding.
