Coughing and Ear Pain After Tonsillectomy
Day 8: Ughh!! I feel like I’m healing slower than everyone else. I can’t sleep, can’t eat, can’t talk and I’m absolutely miserable. I can’t sleep for any longer than 45 minutes without waking up in a fit of coughs. I ALWAYS wake up with terrible ear pains. (Oh God the ear pains!)
I’ve felt worse and worse everyday and I feel so depressed. My throat just doesn’t seem to get moist and there’s a stabbing pain every time I swallow. I’m so hungry and irritable. I can’t tilt my head for too long or the dreaded ear pains get worse. I’m terribly behind on school and I don’t seem to be getting any better. Can’t check my scabs because my jaw feels wired shut. Ugh!
