Jon’s Tonsillectomy by Tissue Welding
47 year old male. I had my tonsils out by Tissue Welding first thing on a Thurs. I slept the rest of the that Thursday. The next day I was eating toast and eggs as well as broth (hot and cold) and lots of water and worked a pretty regular day from home. I took Hydracodone and Ibuprofen on the normal schedule. I have continued eating food every day and taking a slightly reduced amount of Hydracodone and Ibuprofen as needed through today (Sunday, day 4). It’s never been any worse than a bad sore throat – swallowing is uncomfortable but not unbearable. I find water as hard to swallow as well-chewed toast or eggs. So far, so good – I’m hoping I don’t wake up tomorrow suddenly in terrible agony! I’m using the UK guidelines around eating regular food rather than the US approach of just cold liquids. I’m also taking Manuka honey 4 times a day b/c it’s show some positive effect in wound healing. I think most of my (so far so good) outcome is due to an excellent surgeon the the Tissue Welding technology.
